Job Duties: The employer is: RSPB.Maintain buildings to ensure they operate as required eg. path maintenance, painting and general hygiene.Maintain livestock infrastructure and welfare of livestock to ensure we meet animal welfare and cross compliance legislation e.g. livestock fencing repairs, maintenance.Routine operations e.g. record keeping, servicing and maintenance of machinery and vehicles to ensure they operate safely.Habitat management and grounds maintenance to ensure conservation and visitor experience targets are met e.g. scrub removal, removing small trees and shrubs by using hand tools e.g. handsaws and loppers.Complete tasks in compliance with Health and Safety policy.Engage communities and raise profile of our work e.g. support volunteer groups and assist with public engagement events.Promote visitor involvement through a range of channels.Enable visitors to remain engaged with nature. You will be entitled to annual leave during this job opportunity.

Qualifications / Experience: Desirable:Knowledge of servicing and maintaining tools and equipment.Equipment operations skills.Experience in practical land management and delivering estate management works.Livestock management qualification.Knowledge/understanding of nature conservation.Lantra or equivalent qualification in chainsaws, brush cutters, knapsack sprayers etc.
