Job Duties: The successful applicant should be motivated and self-driven, they should have excellent people skills and the ability to prioritise and manage their time appropriately.Key roles and responsibilities:Maintain clients bookkeeping using accounting software, mainly Sage. This would include inputting invoices and bank transactions and completion of bank reconciliations.Preparation of weekly and monthly payroll for clients, whilst ensuring compliance with RTI and Auto-enrolment.Preparation of VAT returns for clients using accounting software to comply with MTD requirements.Assistance with the preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and companies.Preparation of construction industry returns.
Qualifications / Experience: Qualifications:Accounting Technician qualified or with suitable experience; ORBookkeeper qualified or with suitable experience.Essential Skills and Experience:Previous experience in an accountancy practice or business environmentExperience using SagePayroll ExperienceKnowledge of Auto-enrolment requirementsKnowledge of VAT Return preparationAbility to work on own initiative and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsIdeally the successful candidate should have 2 years experience in general practice
